Skipping breakfast aides weigh loss

“In overweight individuals, skipping breakfast daily for 4 weeks leads to a reduction in body weight,” the researchers from Columbia University concluded in a paper published last year.

I've heard people feel like they know the answer is 100% either way (for or against breakfast), but is this something where we just don't fully know what's best yet? Or maybe what's best depends on the habits of the person?
