Basketball leading to sore lower back when squatting and deadlifting.

Today i played basketball for about 2 hours and decided to do some high volume low bar squats and deadlifts a few hours after. But on my first working set for deadlifts my lower back was screaming in soreness almost at the point where it was painful, so i had to stop.

Would this be caused by playing basketball causing my core to fatigue resulting in less support for my lower back? Or is that ridiculous and it is just a form issue.
