This probably seems like a strange question but I am genuinely looking for some advice/help here. For the most part, I really hate working out and am not very great at doing so. However, I do realize that I need to at least do something to better my current body situation and get into a better shape (even though I'm not exactly what one would consider fat). I also recently got engaged and would like to look my best for the wedding next year.
Anyways, my current plan is to get up extra early and use something like an exercise bike or elliptical while playing a video game on my PS4. This would allow me to get in some extra gaming time everyday (which is something that I'm lacking) while also making me not "think" about the workout quite as much. Several years ago, I did the same thing with an exercise bike while watching episodes of Stargate SG-1. I'd get wrapped up in the episode and then realize "Wow, I've been on here for 42 minutes."
I recently brought this up to my fiancée and she mentioned an elliptical which is honestly something that I have zero experience with. So, which one would be better to use while playing video games and working out? I know with the exercise bike, I can sit down, let me legs do most of the work, and have my hands free for whatever but I wasn't sure if you really needed to "hold on" or not while using the elliptical.
Any help or advice would be great. Apologies for sounding like a total noob.
