Any substitutes for rows that don't involve bending over.

I was looking at this website, studying his form and trying to match it, and I can't keep my back straight and parallel with the floor. Every time I try to it hurts behind my knees and my back, like that same pain when you try to bend your finger back and it won't go anymore. Im guessing my ligaments or muscles are too short or something. I'm just not flexible, I've never been able to touch my toes. I'm 20yrs old and I've never had any serious injuries. Can you guys help me?
