I was able to complete the 12 week program and am continuing for another month until I go back to work for 6 months. When I started the program, I was hesitant on the light weights and not pushing myself initially, but I kept with it anyways. What I learned with the program is where my weak parts are (chest and shoulders).
Also, if you don't put in the diet, nothing is going to happen if you're trying to cut. I'm having trouble maintaining a proper diet for my situation in college, haha.
If you're looking for a program to teach you the fundamentals and pack on some muscle and are hesitant about the 5x5, just try it and see how it goes. I was able to learn a lot so far.
